Draft pending legal review. This policy is a working draft for the pre-launch site and must be reviewed by counsel before the member community opens (see vision §7). It describes current practice for the public companion site only.

Who we are

This site is the public companion site for the novel Irreconcilable. For privacy questions, contact privacy@irreconcilable-the-book.club.

What we collect

Email address, when you request the free first chapter or join the newsletter. We store it with our email provider.
Quiz answers, submitted anonymously to score “Which Guardian Are You?”. No account is required and we do not link quiz answers to your identity.
Basic analytics (page views), if analytics is enabled, in aggregate and without selling personal data.

We do not process payments or store card details on this site. All purchases happen on external hosted checkouts (Amazon, retailers, Stripe). We never see your card number.

How we use it

To send you the free chapter and occasional updates you asked for.
To return your quiz result.
To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.

Third parties who process data for us

Email provider — delivers the chapter and newsletter.
Stripe — processes direct/optional purchases on its own hosted pages, under its own privacy policy.
Hosting / CDN — serves the site.
AI providers — when the community launches, Guardian content is generated by third-party language-model providers; the providers in use will be disclosed here before that feature is live.

The Guardians are fictional characters

The six Guardians are fictional characters from the book. Anything they say in the community is AI-generated, in-character, and not advice. In the community, Guardian generations are logged for safety review on infrastructure we control, with disclosure at the point of interaction.

Cookies

The site stores a single preference locally (your light/dark theme choice). It is not used for tracking and never leaves your browser.
